We at Oak Hill Stables of Virginia, a horse farm and boarding stable, are pleased to provide our clients with a unique instruction, training, boarding and sales facility in a convenient and peaceful setting. We're located in Boones Mill, south of Cahas Mountain, and are a short drive from the Greater Roanoke and Smith Mountain Lake region of Virginia.

While horses and riders from all disciplines are welcomed into our small community, our farm should be of particular interest to those interested in the art and sport of Dressage. The owners of Oak Hill Stables are Nancy L. Stone and her husband Sean Pecor. Nancy is an ARICP certified instructor (Level III Dressage) with a B.A. in Psychology and Education from Mount Holyoke College. Before establishing Oak Hill Stables, Nancy spent seven years as an elementary school teacher, and then went on to earn a degree from Meredith Manor International Equestrian Centre. Nancy spent another five years as a teacher, at Meredith Manor, before moving to Vermont. In Vermont, Nancy developed her own small-scale equestrian program which attracted a diverse clientele spanning several states. She enjoyed seven successful years in Vermont. Leaving Vermont was bittersweet.... but Southwest Virginia already feels like home and we invite you to learn more about Nancy, our new program and our facilities. Nancy is presently on the board of the Southwest Virginia Dressage Association.

Sean is a "dotcom" developer of several successful web-based business brokerages. He is equally at home in front of a computer as he is out of doors, and happily divides his time between computer work and farming/construction projects. Sean maintains a blog journal of his farm and family life at www.pecorfamily.com. He is also the volunteer webmaster for SWVADA, having recently redesigned the organization web site.

Oak Hill Stables offers riding lessons, training, boarding, clinics, and offers imported European Warmbloods for sale.
